Name: Carol Piwko-Moore
Town you Live In: Milford
How long have you been dancing? I started dancing February 2010
How did you get into ballroom? Health reasons. My doctor advised me to exercise more. I’m not a “workout at the gym” type and I’ve always wanted to dance. So why not have fun while I exercise. My mother passed away the previous fall and what a better way to honor a fun loving lady. So she is with me every time I’m on the dance floor.
Which dance do you enjoy the most? I love the rhythms, cha cha, swing, rumba, hustle.
What is your favorite dance memory? Competing with Ray. I can’t believe I actually did it. And I love the formation routines.
What dance goal would you like to conquer next? To work on the smooth dances (Foxtrot and Waltz).
What are your other hobbies? I love to read, sew, and nature photography. And my new love of having my dog Watson and training him to be a therapy dog.
Tell us something you think most people don’t know about you. I have been a Hospice Volunteer, facilitator for groups and counselor for over 30 years.
Always a pleasure to see the progress you continually show us on the dance floor Carol.
