PaperMoon Dance Center General

Name: Linda Lovering

Town you Live In: Meredith, NH

When did you start dancing? I started dancing when I was 6 and continued on at various points in my life.  I’ve danced ballet, tap, jazz, modern, aerobic and Zumba.

How did you get into ballroom? I started dancing ballroom about 15 years ago at Royal Palace. I have been aerobic dancing for about 35 years and ended up trying out ballroom with one of my fitness buddies and loved it.

Which dance do you enjoy the most? My favorite dance currently is the Bolero.  I love all the dances.

What is your favorite dance memory? I think my favorite dance memory is the DWTS show we just performed in, to the song “More than a Woman” by the Bee Gees, because it was my first time performing on stage, not in a group of dancers.

What dance goal would you like to conquer next? My goal is to compete again at the highest level I can achieve and have fun!

What are your other hobbies? My other hobbies are tennis, skiing (downhill and cross country), snow shoeing, horseback riding, mountain biking and hiking.

Tell us something you think most people don’t know about you. I’m quite the animal whisperer.  I’ve always taken in baby and injured animals and have rehabilitated many.  Some of them were birds: a robin, a blue jay, an owl and Harold the pigeon.  I raised a baby raccoon named Rocky when I was 18, who was such a smart guy.  He loved jewelry!
