Name: Brad Alderfer

Town you Live In: Manchester

How long have you been dancing? Since New Years Day, 2013

How did you get into ballroom? I had always thought about it, but never got around to it, until a group of friends decided to visit a local studio on New Years Day.  Having no excuse not to go, I went and was hooked.

Which dance do you enjoy the most? For me, it’s largely about the music.  I love jazz, so I’m especially fond of Foxtrot and Quickstep.

What is your favorite dance memory? I’d have to say preparing and practicing for my first performance in 2013.  I played a role in choreographing the routine, so it was fun working to coordinate the elements of the routine with the music.

What dance goal would you like to conquer next?  There are several old favorites that I’d like to work on choreographing and performing over the next few years.

What are your other hobbies? Sailing, Hiking, Volleyball, Running (sometimes–I have to stay active to maintain my girlish figure) 😉

Tell us something you think most people don’t know about you. In a former life, I played in the Inaugural Miller Lite Open Beach Volleyball Tournament in Chicago.
