Student of the week – Ed Tucker

Name: Ed Tucker
Town you Live In: I live in Merrimack, NH.
How long have you been dancing? I have been dancing for two years.
How did you get into ballroom? It’s something I always thought looked like fun and challenging to do. I went past the studio one day and saw many people in there dancing, so I just decided to jump in and do it. A very good decision. When you’re dancing, it’s like getting away, you think of nothing else while you’re doing it. Thank you Ray and Maria for being there for us!
Which dance do you enjoy the most? I like many, but the Rumba stands out as the one I enjoy doing the most.
What is your favorite dance memory? I’ve not competed, I do it for enjoyment, so my best memories are when you get a dance just right, or people tell you you’ve helped them with their dancing.
What dance goal would you like to conquer next? I would like to be at least Bronze one or more in most dances.The Waltz is the dance I’d like to move up in next.
What are your other hobbies? I like to ski, go to the beach, gym, bowling and find new restaurants to travel to.
Tell us something you think most people don’t know about you. I am originally from Massachusetts, and I have also trained in karate.
